AMPS has worked with this customer for almost 30 years on various custom control systems. The design in the photo runs a 30-gallon beer brewing system for home and commercial settings. It’s built around the Samba PLC from Unitronics and is packaged in two separate enclosures for durability, ease of use, and low cost.
The system runs pumps, controls heaters, and logs data for recipes.

This custom control system operates every motor in a large stone quarry in northwest Ohio. Conveyors, crushers, stackers and other equipment all operate safely from a network of Unitronics PLCs installed throughout the plant. It’s not feasible to bury cables in a stone quarry so these PLCs communicate by radio. This is a great example of a one-of-a-kind custom control system designed and built by AMPS.
