Vision570™: PLC with Color Touchscreen HMI & Snap-in I/Os
The Vision570™ is a powerful PLC with a built-in HMI Operator Panel, comprising a 5.7” color touchscreen display. On-board I/Os can be added by simply snapping a module onto the back of the PLC; Snap-in I/O Modules come in several configurations. I/O Expansion modules enable integrating up to 171 I/Os per Vision PLC.
The Vision570™ offers a rich range of embedded features such as multiple auto-tuned PID loops, and internal 120K database for datalogging and recipe programming. Communication options include TCP/IP Ethernet, GSM/SMS, MODBUS and CANopen networking plus remote access for data acquisition and program download.
2MB Ladder code application memory (plus 6MB for images and 1MB for fonts) enable the Vision570™ to run complex control and automation tasks. The 256-color touchscreen HMI enables the display of color-coded operator instructions and red, attention-grabbing alarm screens. It can also display graphs according to historical values—to reflect trends of recorded data. Display options are almost endless with more than 1000 user-designed screens, and up to 500 images per application.
The Vision PLC/Graphic HMI series introduces an unbeatable price-performance ratio, enabling users to enjoy the advanced features of both the operator panel and the PLC, while maintaining low budget, reduced programming time and minimum wiring.

Image library
Easily design your graphic displays using the Vision’s extensive image library.

Time-based Control
Do you need a specific task to be performed at a specific time and date? Simply mark the hour, date or weekday in the PLC software—and you have created time-based control in 3 clicks.

Information Mode
Press the touchscreen for a few seconds to enter the PLC’s Information Mode, providing you with powerful diagnostic capabilities.

Shaft-encoder Inputs
Use the controller’s integral 10kHz inputs as high-speed counters, frequency measurers, or to directly connect to shaft-encoders.

PWM Outputs
Control stepper motors or PID-based applications, via PWM, with the Vision's onboard PWM outputs (up to 50 kHz for npn).

Virtual Keypad
Application requires data entry? The Vision's virtual keypad pops up automatically.
All-in-one software enables you to develop your PLC and HMI applications in one environment, establish modem and data communications, test and debug your programs in on-line mode, remotely access your controller, and more.
Use the Ladder editor to:
- Click-and-drop Ladder elements
- Build modular programs; create subroutines and call them into your program
- Benefit from built-in function blocks such as Trends, PID, Loadcell, GPRS, Drum Sequencer, MODBUS Serial/IP, SMS, Protocol Serial/TCP/IP
Use the HMI editor to:
- Assign "Touch" properties to any screen element
- Create and conditionally display operator messages that contain text and images
- Use color images and graphs to reflect current variable values and historical trends
- Assign functions to softkeys and touchscreen elements
- Creat a multilingual interface, that enables instant language switching via the HMI
Ethernet via TCP/IP
Use your factory’s existing LAN wiring to implement stable, high-speed control. Ethernet, the universal COM standard is embedded in Vision controllers.
Ethernet enables MODBUS or open protocol commands to run over TCP/IP. Via the Ethernet port (purchased separately) and easy-to-use Ladder function blocks, Vision can:
- Exchange data, PLC to PLC
- Access external slave devices that support TCP/IP
- Use MODBUS IP or OPC to implement PC access via SCADA
- Acquire data from remote Vision units, networked into Intranets, Internets and wireless LANs
- Boost your connectivity by using dedicated IP address—and access/program remote Vision PLCs via the Internet
GPRS
Use GPRS wireless data transmission services to access your Vision PLC via the Internet. Vision can transmit IP packets of data to a remote PC connected to the Internet via GPRS modem, using a dedicated IP.
GPRS enables you to operate remote PLCs on-line, upload, download, debug programs, and log application data—no wires required.
GSM/SMS
Use your cellular phone to implement real-time remote control in your application. Vision PLCs can send and receive SMS messages to/from any GPRS/GSM/CDMA cellular phone. The SMS-enabled controllers can:
- Send & receive text and variable SMS messages
- Route different messages to different phone numbers
- Auto-acknowledge received messages
- Answer data requests from your cell phone, directly to your cell phone
Remote Access
Use your PC to access remote PLCs via network connections, Ethernet, cellular (GPRS/GSM/CDMA) or landline modems. Unitronics’ unique Remote Access utilities enable you to remotely:
- Run, reset, or initialize a controller
- Download, upload, or debug PLC programs
- Read, write, and store online operand and system values
MODBUS
Use serial or TCP/IP MODBUS to create a multi-device network, and establish master-slave communication between Unitronics PLCs and any connected device that supports the MODBUS protocol (SCADA systems, servos and other peripheral devices). Any Unitronics controller in the network may function as either master or slave.
CANbus
CANopen: communicate with remote devices, ranging from simple, fast I/O-related devices such as encoders, to complex frequency converters. Compliant with CiA DS 301.
UniCAN: use Unitronics' protocol to integrate up to 60 units into a high-speed network, and to transfer up to 512 MI register values during a single program scan.
CAN Layer 2
OPC/DDE Server
Unitronics’ OPC/DDE servers enable the PLC to exchange data with external applications. Use it to interface with SCADA systems, or to read/write PLC data from/to Excel, Access, or other Windows-based applications.
OPC/DDE Server software utilities are free downloads.
Additional Communication Protocols
The “Protocols” function block enables the Vision PLC to communicate, via RS232 and RS485, with a broad variety of external devices, such as bar-code readers and servos.
DataXport (to Excel)
A powerful software utility that captures PLC application data and exports it to Excel files for logging or processing. Data is exported, either directly, via network connection, or via modem, according to a user-defined schedule, or is pulled manually to view current status.
DataXport is a free download.
